About ROSS

About Ross

A quiet, steady approach to mindfulness, grounded in care, simplicity, and real-life experience.

This site was created to offer a gentle, accessible way to learn mindfulness through Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

A Gentle Intention

The intention behind this site is simple.

To offer a calm, structured, and compassionate way for people to learn mindfulness and work with stress, anxiety, and the challenges of daily life.

There is no pressure here. No demand to improve quickly. No expectation to do things perfectly.

Just a quiet invitation to begin, and to return again when you are ready.

Background and Training

Ross is a trained teacher in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), with formal training through the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where MBSR was originally developed.

He has also trained in related mindfulness approaches, including mindfulness-based cognitive practices, and has spent many years exploring the practical application of mindfulness in everyday life.

The focus of this work is not theory alone, but lived experience—how mindfulness can actually support people in real situations.

A Practical Approach

This teaching emphasizes simplicity.

Mindfulness is not presented as something complicated or distant, but as something that can be practiced in ordinary moments:

  • Noticing the breath
  • Feeling the body
  • Recognizing thoughts and emotions as they arise
  • Returning gently, again and again

Over time, these simple practices can support a more steady and understanding relationship with life.

A Quiet Way of Teaching

This site reflects a quiet way of offering mindfulness.

It is not built around pressure, performance, or constant communication.

Instead, it is designed to allow you to:

  • Learn at your own pace
  • Return to the material when it is helpful
  • Practice without feeling watched or evaluated

This creates space for a more personal and grounded learning experience.

Accessibility and Care

This training is offered in a way that aims to balance accessibility with sustainability.

A reduced course fee helps support the continued offering of the program, while a further reduced fee is available for those who need it.

The intention is to keep the training open and available to as many people as possible.

A Personal Note

This work is offered with care and with an understanding that life can be challenging.

Mindfulness is not about removing all difficulty. It is about learning how to meet life with more awareness, steadiness, and kindness.

You are welcome to take what is helpful and leave the rest.

A Simple Invitation

If you feel drawn to begin, you are welcome to start gently.
