If you are unsure whether this training is right for you, these questions may help bring a little more clarity.

What is MBSR?

MBSR stands for Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.

It is a structured mindfulness training that helps people develop greater awareness, steadiness, and care in relation to stress, anxiety, emotions, and everyday life.

You can learn more on the What Is MBSR? page.

How much does the training cost?

The training is offered at a reduced fee of $97 USD.

Traditional MBSR programs are often approximately $650 USD.

This lower fee helps make the training more accessible while still supporting the care and structure of the program.

Is a reduced fee available?

Yes.

If cost is a barrier, a further reduced fee is available for those experiencing financial hardship.

The discount is based on need. You are welcome here.

Do I need experience with mindfulness?

No.

This training is designed to be approachable for beginners as well as meaningful for people returning to mindfulness practice.

You do not need to be calm, experienced, or “good at meditation” to begin.

Is this course self-paced?

Yes.

You can move through the training at your own pace and return to the practices as needed.

While MBSR is traditionally taught over 8 weeks, this format allows you to move more gently and thoughtfully if that is what supports you best.

How long is the training?

The training follows the general structure of an 8-week MBSR program, with core practices and teachings that unfold step-by-step.

Because the course is self-paced, the actual time you take may be shorter or longer depending on your schedule and how deeply you wish to practice.

What will I learn?

You will learn core mindfulness practices and attitudes that support working with stress and life more skillfully.

  • Body Scan
  • Mindful Breathing
  • Mindful Movement
  • Awareness of thoughts and emotions
  • Stress awareness and mindful responding
  • Bringing mindfulness into daily life

You can see the full structure on the MBSR Curriculum page.

What if I miss days or fall behind?

That is okay.

This training is meant to support you, not pressure you.

You can return when you are ready and continue gently from where you left off.

Do I have to do every practice perfectly?

No.

Mindfulness practice is not about perfection. It is about returning, noticing, and beginning again.

A simple, sincere effort is enough.

Will this help with stress and anxiety?

Many people find MBSR helpful for stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and daily pressure.

Rather than promising a quick fix, mindfulness helps you build a different relationship with your experience—one that can become steadier and more understanding over time.

Is this therapy or medical treatment?

No.

This training is an educational mindfulness program. It is not therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional care.

If you are dealing with significant mental health or medical concerns, it may be helpful to seek support from a qualified professional as well.

Who is this training for?

This training may be helpful if you are:

  • Living with stress or anxiety
  • Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally tired
  • Wanting a grounded mindfulness practice
  • Looking for a structured and compassionate learning path
  • Returning to MBSR and wanting to refresh your practice
